Founder & CEO Studio Director

Lee Evans is a Gold Album/award winning Producer/Songwriter/Engineer/Musician and a long time veteran of the music industry. With over 30 years background in the music industry, starting as a child, Lee Evans wrote, arranged, played piano and sang for young harmony group “The Fourth Edition” a group that went on to win amateur night at the Apollo a whopping 6 times, sharing the stage with the likes of Michael Jackson, James Brown, and other legends. After attending such notable schools as "The High School Of Music & Art (NYC)" and "Oberlin Conservatory” (Ohio), Lee Evans set out on his musical life journey. As a keyboardist, Lee became a band member and musical director. In his early years he performed with and frequently led top recording with acts such as “The Jimmy Castor Bunch” “Brass Construction” The Force MDs, “New Edition” “Afrikaa Bambaataa”, “Willie Colon” “Johnny Gill” “Kleer” “Bionic Boogie” “Joe Simon” “The Coasters”.

On the local scene he did a stint as the house band keyboard player. Here he backed up such notable artists like Johnny Kemp, Me'lissa Morgan, and Keith Sweat.

Lee Evans' many accomplishments include his work with singer in the early stages of his career, "Cindi Lauper" , "Harry Belafonte", "The Force MDs", "Brass Construction", "Afrikaa Bambaataa" and a long list of dance Hip Hop and “latin freestyle” favorites from the ‘80’s and early 90’s. During this time, Mr. Evans became a familiar face in the most prominent NYC studios and earned recognition as a one of NYC’s top multi-keyboardist / producer /songwriter / engineers.

Cathy Palmisano

 

Co-Owner & Administrative Director

In 1992 Ms. Palmisano became co-owner and Administrative Director of JAMBOX Entertainment & Recording Studios. Ms. Palmisano was instrumental in the management & artist development of many upcoming artists, including REFORM Records recording artist, Lori Michaels. Ms. Palmisano was instrumental in the formation & development of the non-profit organization, REACH OUT, Inc, and has served as its Executive Director for 20 years. REACH OUT, Inc. has touched the lives of over 3 million people and because of the level of Ms. Palmisano's administrative work, she has helped make REACH OUT a stand out nation wide non-profit organization throughout its progression. In 2006 Ms. Palmisano Co-Founded 4SIGHT Music Productions which went on to produce the album “Year Of The Cowboy” by NYC Times Square icon, The Naked Cowboy.

Edwin Solano is the embodiment of today's Audio Engineer. Young, fresh, with a cool urban edge. With the hunger for knowledge he went to JAMBOX Recording Studios as a top graduate from The Institute of Audio Research. Within a short time he was getting requested for session work and rose quickly amongst the ranks. Edwin is now one of JAMBOX's top Audio Engineers and Instructors for Recording Connection and The AET Audio Enginnering Course.

Edwin has worked with some of JAMBOX’s top clients, such as: Bryan Leach, President of Polo Grounds Music, Nina Sky, Mixed and Edited Hurricane Chris "She's Fine/Halle Berry Remix)" featuring Ludacris, Beenie Man, Lil Boosie, Yo Gotti, Pitbull, Yung Joc and C-Ride. He works closely with Music Producers Lee Evans & Gaetano Lattanzi, Ruben Cobos, CEO of Ru1 Records, Popular Dancehall Artist KC Jockey, 2x DMC World Champion DJ ie.merge , Machine Drum, Jimmy Edgar, Rap Artist Theophilus London, Jesse Boykins, Time Square icon The Naked Cowboy, Dope Rush Entertainment, Elizabeth Sullivan, Nicole Ortiz, of 4Sight Music, Reform Records Recording Artist, Lori Michaels, Face Tha Music, And many other upcoming Independent Artists.

Edwin has since gone on to pioneer JAMBOX "LIVE", the live webcast network at JAMBOX. This is one of the first live streams known for any major recording studio. Senior Audio Engineer

Drew is a senior audio engineer at JAMBOX Recording studios in New York City. In addition to engineering he is also hired by clients as a producer and session musician. He is a skilled guitarist pianist, and vocalist and writes and performs his own music. He also works with graphic and web design for musicians and does video editing. Because of his background as a producer, Drew is able to give feedback to vocalists and musicians during tracking as well as aiding the artist in the creation of a top-notch song. Recognized by his clients for being very proficient in Pro Tools, including advanced editing techniques, and creating interesting voice and sound effects, Drew is relied on not only for his engineering talents but also for his creative input during recording sessions.

Drew received his B.A. in physics from the College of the Holy Cross and soon after started work for Avalon Recording Studios in Bethesda, MD, where he soon worked his way up to head engineer and studio manager.

Drew has worked with such notable clients as Nappy Roots, Nina Sky, Lori Michaels, Ira Siegel, Curtis King, Mel Bush, Boxie, and Brand New World Media.

As a veteran Engineer in New York City for the past 22 years, Peter has worked with some of the best in the business including Sporty Thievz for which he received a Platinum Record credit to his list of accomplishments.

Other gifted artists include Krs One, Big Daddy Kane, M.O.P., Peter Gunz, Jin, Gangstarr, Don Omar, Young B, P-Star, Megan Rochell, MF Grimm, Brooklyn Zu, Webstar and Jim Jones to name a few. His studio training has given him the opportunity to work out of various famous studios such as Power Play Studios, Unique, Quad, KMA, Chung King, D & D, Soundtracks, Daddy’s House, Platinum Sounds, Sony and The Hit Factory.

As an Engineer and Producer, Peter is able to bring years of experience and professionalism as well as a good vibe and a comfortable working environment to your recording project. Offering such skills he is able to record, edit and mix your sound accurately and clearly to produce a professional final product.

Jen Xea

Audio Engineer

Jen joined the JAMBOX team after taking the studio's AET Audio Engineering Course. Whether she is contributing as a session musician or vocalist to clients, Jen has been recognized for her comprehensive approach to music as she “dives in” from all angles to pursue a project. Jen’s piano background and rigorous, technical training in music theory, four-part harmony, and counterpoint allow her to offer new ideas to artists of any genre. In addition to her studio commitments, Jen coordinates bookings and marketing efforts for “THE Dyke Diva” Lori Michaels and writes her own music.

Jen graduated from Harvard and holds a master’s degree in Social Anthropology from Columbia University. While in college, she served as composer and Music Director for CityStep, which produces annual dance shows featuring local Cambridge children. A native of Dallas, Texas, Jen started classical piano at the age of 3, began composing at 6, and received recognition in various local, national, and international piano competitions including the Lennox Young Artists Competition. Jen plans to continue tackling the challenges of the ever-changing music industry while pursuing her own work in classical composition, songwriting, and production.
